WORLD WILDLIFE DAY

from the WWF website………

This World Wildlife Day (3 March), we’re joining global brands in removing nature from our logos to highlighting the importance of our natural world – home for wildlife and us all.

More than 40 famous brands and sports clubs from around the world will remove symbols of nature from their logos to highlight the dramatic loss of nature globally and the social and economic risks it poses.

World Wildlife Day should be a chance to celebrate life on our amazing planet. But our wildlife is disappearing. Fast. Our Living Planet Report shows wildlife population sizes have plummeted by an average of 68% since 1970. Populations of birds, mammals, fish, plants and insects across the world are teetering on the brink. The natural world is in freefall.

But together, we can fix this and make sure we don’t have a #WorldWithoutNature. For the first time, there’s a plan to stop global nature loss and put it on a path to recovery by 2030. And you too can help. This year can be the turning point. With global action to protect wildlife, produce food in better ways, and change what we choose to eat, we can turn things around.
