You may have noticed the blog isn’t looking at its best at the moment. A week ago we suffered a serious and significant data loss whilst migrating to a new hosting plan.
Over a thousand posts and nearly two thirds of the photo archive has permanently been deleted. The location , wildlife and about menus have been effected and a lot of the remaining posts have had the pictures detached.
Needless to say it’s been a painful week , eight years of work almost gone. But we carry on. We will rebuild the site back but it’s going to take some time , hopefully it will all be working by the end of January next year.
Thank you for your support. It means the world and is really very much appreciated.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Peter

Ouch… was there no backup at the old host? I hope the reconstruction will be as enjoyable as possible as you revisit all your old friends…

That is the worst thing to happen with one’s website! Hopefully you have at least the photos saved somewhere else.
I wish you and your familly a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well!

Thank you Stella , and yes thankfully all the photo’s and most of the words are backed up on another site , it will be a lot of work copying the data back here but its a chance to make small improvements. Thank you for your support and comments . It’s easy to say but it is really much appreciated. Merry Christmas .
