The Hide , Thursday 18th May 2023

Wow , what a difference a week makes , the meadow is now beginning to grow at an extraordinary rate. The new growth is now a couple of foot high ( 600mm ) in places and still growing strong. Just cutting the path to the hide is now a full day task ! Here is a before and after image…

It has been very quiet around the Hide roadway , aside from the squabbling squirrels, who have been chasing each other all day. Sadly one of our female blackbirds meet a young male sparrowhawk. Needless to say it didn’t end well for the blackbird.
