“ Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.” —Vivian Greene
Saturday 1st January, the start of my new found freedom and also the first planned day at the meadow hide this year , or maybe not ! With my new schedule or rather lack of schedule the pressure to maximise every opportunity to get out and about seems to have diminished , my good intentions ( flask made , sandwiches packed , batteries charged ) disappear. The black sky full of menacing rain clouds convince me that perhaps today is a good day to stay home , dry and warm.
Still every cloud has a silver lining, and today’s silver lining means that I have time to write and plan a couple of blogs , plus I have a rather loverly flask of pipping hot home made soup to keep me company. And a fab view of a rather damp pair of squirrels running around my rear garden. And there is always tomorrow.
So today’s motto, “sometimes it’s nice to watch the storm from a nice warm dry house “
Happy New Year
Wonderful that you are planning ahead.. And always one step ahead of any storm… Wishing you a Happy New Year, May it bring all of your dreams into fruition.

This post is so apt right now! I have just come home early from a field trip to keep up to date with tasks at home. 2022 if I’m not feeling it I’m staying home, guilt free! Happy New Year and keep up the good blogging (when the storm has passed!)
