Paddling pool at the Meadow

Let me introduce you to the latest addition to the landscape at the Meadow Hide. The paddling pool.

Five days ago this was just a small 1000mm x 1000mm plastic oil drip tray , a few rocks , a bag of decorative stone and a few rotting twigs and moss. The one element the meadow lacked was a source of water , both for the birds to wash in and to drink. We now have two pools at the meadow, the paddling pool and the raised reflection pool.

The paddling pool is now the centre piece of our new mini woodland and as you can see it has already become a firm favourite with our small woodland birds , local squirrels and rodents.
