App review – Seek

by Peter Hanscomb

If your like me and struggle sometimes to identify just what species of plant , insect or animal you’ve just photographed this could be the app you’ve been waiting for. Free to download on both ISO and Android the apps simple to use and reasonably accurate.

All you need to do is open the app on your phone of tablet….

IMG_4831Take a picture of the subject you want to identify…….

IMG_4832Tap the identity photo button…..

IMG_4833

And review the results……….

IMG_4834We tried a variety of different animals , plants and insects and whilst some answers were a bit generic, it identified the species or sub species in 18 out of 20 attempts. So not full proof but definitely worth downloading.
