The Hide , A New Year

Well finally after what seems like an age , actually nearly a month it’s back to routine and a very much welcome back to the Hide at the Wildflower Meadow. And Happy New Year to you all !
Hopefully 2026 is going to be a really good year , fingers crossed. The holiday season , which we extended with a few days away in Wales is now well and truly behind us and the rebuild of the site is now virtually complete.
We have completely rebuilt from scratch the Wildlife section and added more species , with a lot more to come during the year and are working on the Location section. So any suggestions of places to visit in the UK would be gratefully received !
Anyway back to the hide and today’s wildlife. It has been a quiet day , really as expected with the level of in-activity over the past month. Still most of the usual suspects made an appearance , with Robins , Blue tits , Great tits , Dunnock and Blackbird all in attendance. Then we had the Wren , Pheasant , Chaffinch , Wood pigeon and Grey Squirrel. A Short roll call today but totally worth while none the less.
happy January everyone !
