IN TO THE WILD

During my holiday to Yorkshire I had a lot of great encounters, a certain one stood out which was my spotting of a dipper. I had been looking for the dipper my whole holiday and really wanted to photograph. After many days of searching I had found a perfect spot towards the end of my walk I had stopped of because I saw 2 grey wagtails, I stayed and shot photos for a while until they started to get a little to far away that was when I took off my socks and shoes and I went in.

The water was freezing but I managed to make my way to a rock, big enough to sit on, within distance to photograph the wagtails. After a period of time in swooped a dipper (one of my personal favourites) on a branch just to my left, cautiously I lifted my camera to get my shots. Then one of the grey wagtails landed on the branch even closer to me (I could nearly touch it). The dipper perched on a few more spots and then moved on but the wagtails stayed for a while longer so I sat still to take some more pictures. At the same time that a group of marsh tits and a treecreeper came in on a tree my batteries ran out so I made my way back.

Overall it was an insane experience and I would relive that experience millions more times if I could.
