WEEKEND WILDLIFE

Weekend Wildlife

It’s the weekend again , and here in the U.K. it’s our summer bank holiday ( public holiday ) so it’s also a long weekend, no office until Thursday !

And once again I’m back at the meadow hide. Today in the co-pilots seat is my wife Anne. It’s been rather quiet here lately, but today the hide has been really busy. The good news is , the rat pack are back . I have really missed these cheeky little chaps, it’s been a few months since they were last spotted at the hide. The really good news is that their reappearance hasn’t scared off the Bank Vole.

And once again the star of the show is also the smallest of our visitors the Wren. It’s areal feisty little bird , and once again we had the privilege to watch the Wren hunting for insects and bugs.
