Wild Online are delighted to announce our new guest blogger , Bob Brind-Surch who will be joining the team in September. Bob is an experienced photographer and naturalist passionate about his work and sharing his observations of wildlife with others.
Bob has been a keen naturalist from a very young age and a photographer from his late teens. Bob is foremost a naturalist who photographs what he observes rather than a photographer specialising in wildlife and has been taking photos since the late 60’s.
Bob says ” I learnt my photographic craft seeking to capture animals in difficult situations and specifically recording animal behaviour. My early photography consisted of taking colour slides to illustrate talks I gave on wildlife. This was all the more difficult with older manual film cameras but has proved a good grounding for practicing and refining the skills that still serve me well in the digital age.”
” Throughout my life I have been fortunate to have shared experiences and work with some very competent naturalists and photographers. They have collectively helped me enormously and taken me on an exciting journey of exploration. As a qualified teacher I consider it a privilege to be able to share with others the lessons I have learnt and the experiences I have gained.”
Bob offers photographic workshops both here in the UK , Africa and Europe passing on his knowledge and advice ( for more details visit http://www.naturesphotos.co.uk ) as well as touring the UK visiting camera clubs with his popular illustrated wildlife talks.
Keep an eye out for Bob’s first blog , coming soon here on Wild Online.
