The Hide , Monday 27th March 2023

A very busy day here at the hide with lots of coming and going, mainly centred around the pool and feeders. Once again the Great Spotted Woodpeckers proved to be rather elusive, evading all attempts to have their photo taken , and taking great interest in one of the new bird boxes. Hopefully we should have young later in the year , with any luck.

We also had a Jackdaw hanging around the hide , now normally these are very timid birds and the slightest movement is enough to scare them into flight so it’s very pleasing to get a couple of half decent images .
