New Kids on the Block
We have new residents in our garden. Today we have released three young rescued Hedgehogs on behalf of Oak and Furrows rescue charity. It’s a welcome boast to the already healthy local hedgehog community. Here is a short video showing two of the new arrivals enjoying a free meal…..
Oh, well done you! Our local population has diminished year on year, But recently we found a severely undernourished youngster who has been taken to the hedgehog convalescent home provided by the local Rangers. I must find out how she/he is doing.

We have now released 10 into our garden over the past four years. We hand reared two ourselves. We now have a healthy population locally. All nature needs is a little gentle help sometimes

Sometimes it’s just lick. We don’t have a lot of traffic and having a local rescue charity who let us release hogs certainly helps.
