Monday 14th March 2022

It’s Monday morning and the only place to be is at the hide ( having cunningly dodged the housework ) First thing to report is that the new bug hotel is still in one piece. It now makes the paddling pool look a little untidy so I think that a little update is now in order.

Spring is definitely on its way with a few of last years saplings starting to Bud and flower. Hopefully by the end of this month we can start to plant this years new saplings , a mixture of Alder , Hazel , Hawthorn and Blackthorn. All native species and already established on the boarders of the meadow.

Anyway , wildlife . A great selection of visitors on display today with the first sighting of the mystery log pile creature. Still not sure what it is but it is still great to glimpse a view. The local Grey squirrels where also in good form.

Feathered visitors included the Jay , Great spotted woodpecker , and a first sighting this year of a chiffchaff. All the other usual suspects where also on parade , Robins , Great tits , Blue tits and Dunnocks.

Fabulous photos of your furred and feathered friends
