AFTER THE STORM

Monday at the hide , 21st February 2022

The weather forecast today is strong winds , brightening up after mid day with the promise of a tiny patch of blue sky appearing over North Wiltshire , so time to survey the damage hedgerow at the meadow hide. The result of storm Eunice , one mature tree lost and a couple of last years newly planted saplings destroyed by the falling tree. As I have mentioned before , the close proximity of the fallen tree to the hide means we have had a lucky escape. 

Whilst at the meadow it would be churlish not to set up the camera in the hide for a little R & R and a bit of wildlife watching. It’s still very windy , so despite filling the bird feeders it has been a quiet day. Here a a few images……
