Wildlife Wednesday 18-5-2021

Another Wednesday at the Meadow Hide, this time flying solo. The St Marks flies are still here in large numbers, I think the adults will soon come to the end of their life cycle but for now there are still hundreds of them flying around in between the downpours of rather heavy rain . It’s definitely a day to be indoors with a few heavy showers and thunder storms.

The brown rats are once again out exploring around the paddling pool . The Jackdaw is hanging around more today alone with the local Blackbirds . We have installed netting to cover the open windows at the hide and this seems to be making a difference with the more nervous birds.
Today’s visitors include Robins , Blue tits , Great tits , Jackdaw , Magpie , Pheasant and Pigeon.
You get lots of feathered visitors
