Wildlife Wednesday 5-5-2021

Another Wednesday at the Meadow Hide , this time with my wife Anne in the co-pilots seat. Or should it be wild weather Wednesday ? It’s May and today it rained , at times rather heavily, then bright sunshine , then rain , then hailstones plus thunder and lightning. Yes we had it all.

Still our wonderful weather didn’t put of the wildlife. A bumper day of insects , butterflies, mammals and birds including a new bird for both myself and the meadow , a Greater Whitethroat. The woodpecker made an appearance as did our resident squirrel . The rat family all braved the weather as did all the woodland birds.
