I should start by saying that I have always been a fan of Lowepro bags, big on features , reasonable quality and an equally reasonable price. So time for a new large capacity camera pack. I use Vanguard Supreme 46d hard cases to store and transport my camera gear around, but they just aren’t practical for moving gear across ruff ground so I wanted a rucksack capable of holding two full fram dslr bodies with the lenses attached.
As one of the lenses is Sigma’s 150/600 sports, i knew the bag would have to be big, and the 650 is more than capable, swallowing as uch equipment as you can lift. The bag feels well made , and the internal dividers holds all your gear secure and safe. As I mentioned there’s plenty of room inside the bag, plus plenty of exterior pockets and a very handy detachable waist pack , bum bag.
The harness /shoulder straps work well and despite the size the 650 is probably the most comfortable backpack I now own. It’s made from 630d high density oxford material, no problems here with quality and comes with a rain cover that works well.
There’s a foldaway tripod holder and a hydration ready side pocket and plenty of compression straps to keep every thing in place.
PROS : Great quality and if like me you want all your gear including the kitchen sink with you a huge capacity.
CONS : It’s huge, remember you have to lift and carry this when full !
SHOULD YOU BUY ONE : If you want a large capacity bag, this one is the daddy.
Expect to pay around £ 269.00
